Maybe surprisingly an 8. I got laid off a couple of days ago. This is the first time in my adult life I've been unemployed. 25 years at the organization I just left. For the last couple of years, the place hadn't really valued me.
I have a good severance package, so that is a big help. I was intending to enjoy a bit of time off unless something dropped into my lap. Well, a very attractive position has come up and I think I am well suited for it. It's looking like something is dropping in my lap. ๐
I'm hopeful for those position.
Oh man, I remember being unemployed for 3 months about a decade ago. I was going to the gym, sleeping a lot, and just generally never felt healthier. But I also was not paying rent and collected decent EI.
