MODERATORS
I'm not going to lie, to me X-files aged even worse than most Star trek shows. Or more to the point, the real world fully embraced the show's conspiracy theory, suspiciousness of government, and tinfoil hattery.
I can't look at Fox Mulder anymore and not see some Alex Jones nutter with an IRL following that sucks up his ravings... ๐
I get where you are coming from, but I have too many good childhood memories of watching both shows with my family. I refuse to let some chodes ruin it for me. X-Files was the weekly thing to sit down and all watch together.
Donโt let the dumb dumbs ruin things things you enjoy ๐
No, sure. I have very fond memories of X-files too, from the original airing.
But my latest attempt at a rewatch took most of a bottle of rum to sit through a handful of episodes. My liver just isn't up for X-files anymore.
I still watch a lot of X-Files. However, these days I skip all the arcs and prefer the episodic monster of the day episodes.
