🇬🇧🇺🇸❌🇮🇷The Times: The United Kingdom has agreed to allow the United States to use the British air bases at Fairford and Diego Garcia to launch strikes against Iranian missile sites targeting ships in the Strait of Hormuz, as part of collective defense.

Thing is they were already flying bombers out of here. Not really your standard "defensive" aircraft them. This just makes official what Starmer had slimily already allowed them to do, presumably at a much larger scale.

Seems a very bizarre choice when the rest of Europe are turning their back on this war and Trump is abusing him publicly. This will massively increase the risk of terror attacks on our soil, and make any foreign bases a target for the Iranian Regime who will definitely want to prove a point about this.

I struggle to see what the UK gain from this, and it's not publicly popular. It becomes more and more obvious who is pulling the strings here. And they aren't British.

It might have something to do with then UK's massive insurance investments for shipping. Probably more than any other western country, Terf island will be effected.
