Canada will continue to support Ukraine’s efforts to restore energy infrastructure damaged by Russian strikes, Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said in a recent meeting with the leadership of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.

Commenting on Russia’s strike on UNESCO World Heritage sites in Lviv, the Canadian Foreign Minister stated that it represented “an attempt by Russia to destroy Ukraine’s culture and identity.” She emphasized: “These are clear violations of international law, and those responsible must be held accountable.”

On March 24, Russia carried out a massive drone strike on central Lviv, damaging a building recognized as UNESCO heritage.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has coordinated with UNESCO experts to visit Lviv to document the destruction and assess the damage caused by the Russian attack.

As one study, Exploring Left-Wing Extremism on the Decentralized Web: An Analysis of Lemmygrad.ml, says,

Our results show that users of Lemmygrad.ml frequently share posts that support authoritarian regimes, as seen in their support for China, North Korea, and Russia. Moreover, their support can extend beyond backing these authoritarian regimes, even cheering on their violent actions, as evidenced by their posts on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Additionally, we observe anti-Zionist and antisemitic behaviors, which show similarities to right-wing extremism.

So you may have a different opinion, even one that is disconnected from reality, but cheering the violence against civilians, including children, is unforgivable. This is not a sane state of mind.

Also, authoritarian is a meaningless word propagandists use. Every government has authority by virtue of having a monopoly on legalized value. The only question which class interests the state is exercising this power in.
