Air raid alert declared in Israel, explosions rock area around Tel Aviv – TASS [2026-04-07]

TEL AVIV. An air raid alert was declared in Israel following missile launches from Iran. According to a TASS correspondent, sirens sounded in the Tel Aviv area, after which explosions were heard near the city. Earlier, the Israeli military said it had detected missile launches from Iran toward the country.

Attack on Israeli Consulate General in Istanbul leaves two police officers injured — NTV via TASS [2026-04-07]

ISTANBUL. Two Turkish police officers were injured in an armed attack on the Israeli Consulate General in Istanbul, NTV reported, citing police sources. According to the TV channel, three assailants in camouflage opened fire with automatic weapons at the consulate. They were killed. The Israeli Consulate General, located in the Levent business district, has been closed for some time but remains under police protection.
