Usually when someone brings up Fahrenheit there'll be some dumbass who comes in and talks about how it's better because it makes more sense and is intuitive.

  1. It doesn't make more sense, it's completely arbitrary (unlike my beloved Celsius and Kelvin which are merely somewhat arbitrary)
  2. It's more intuitive because that's what you grew up with

Those in the know use the Rankine scale think-about-it

Not to be confused with the Rankin scale

Rankine is kelvin for fahrenheit? that's funny

"we made a system of measurements that sucks ass that no one will use, as a joke"

Why did you say it isn’t intuitive, call the person that grew up with it through no personal choice of their own a dumbass, and then acknowledge that it is intuitive to them. Maybe you’re the dumbass?

angery <- You right now

You're a dumbass if you think your system is better because it's "more intuitive". Your system is only "more intuitive" because you grew up with it, if you had grown up with another system then that one would have been more intuitive. Thus making "more intuitive" as a determinant for wether a system is better pure dumbassery.

It’s not my system and I don’t use it regularly, all my stuff us set to Celsius but claiming it isn’t intuitive in the same argument where you acknowledge it’s intuitive to some people and call them a dumbass to boot makes you sound stupid and aggressive for no reason.
