Based on what little I know of Trump's psychology, he might be more offended by the alcohol on the table (supposedly his brother drank himself to death or something).
Yeah Trump has always been a vocal teetotaller because of Fred Trump jr.
He's got a chip on his shoulder about alcohol specifically being a pathetic vice for weak losers.
(Uh, to be clear I am describing Trump's thought process there. I, myself, am someone who abuses the so-called pathetic vice for weak losers. Not trying to hit anyone with strays on this.)
Doesn't seem to have gotten in the way of his elevation of Kegsbreath.
I disagree that it would have ever gotten in the way, I think the logic behind this is it's better to have a (controllable) weak pathetic loser at the head of the military hierarchy than someone who is a political threat to you.
