It could be the guy just ran through security because he was late for something and got annihilated and all the weapons were planted after the fact as a cover up.
But I think its more likely the dumbest assassination attempt on Trump so far. Its not like the past attempts were well thought out.
No there was definitely worse ones. Like getting shot entirely outside of mar a lago when Trump isn’t even there is worse.
