I love Hasan. I'm not going to pretend that he's a ML, but calling him a liberal is pretty insulting. He frequently defends and is friends with many MLs. His takes on the PRC and the DPRK are very much lacking in nuance and he seems uninformed when it comes to the material conditions that lead to the situation in Ukraine. Otherwise, I tend to agree with him on most other things.

Ultimately, he's creating entertainment. If you're tuning in to hear a dialectical materialist perspective on world events, then there are much more appropriate sources. If you're looking to be informed with regard to the word vomit that liberal and conservative (and mostly USAian) media present to their audience without wanting to gouge out your eyes and ears, he manages to make this entertaining while still providing very good counter-commentary.
