Personally I think not having karma limits is nice currently! I understand why they were used but grinding karma as a lurker on reddit was frustrating.

Proactively banning problematic users before they cause issues is necessary. Prevention is better than cure.

Blocking a server because they don't share your blocklist takes the Fedi out of the Fediverse.
