In BC, they mandated that you must wear the hospital provided surgical mask (or whatever it was that was similar). You weren't allowed to bring your own n95 or better mask and they would make you remove it to enter.

Pretty bonkers.

Even a poor fitting n95 would be better than a surgical mask with gaps everywhere

Edit: to clarify that was for visitors. .
