I just finally figured out enough of Unity to make my own ahem content and now they're pulling this shit. Sucks.
Sucks, but Stride is a thing. I think it's less powerful, and harder to use. But completely free to use.
I'm an aspiring VR guy so I'll probably have to go with Godot. I wanna at least finish up my current project in Unity though. I've taken way too many detours already.
Fair enough. Best of luck to you, I know how tough it can be to keep a long-term dev project going.

Overwatch has their own proprietary engine, I think. Not a gamer so idk. Unless you're making a joke about ahem content, in which I think most of that is done using Source Filmmaker.

Unity is messing around with their pricing structure. It wouldn't really affect small developers but it's kind of a 'straw that broke the camels back' moment for a lot of the industry.
