Yes, the meme does not literally have a picture of a group of people at their computers. The picture is metaphorical.

The top image is of the Occupy Wallstreet protests. Rich fucks on the balcony were there drinking champaign, taking pictures, and laughing.

Because they were at a wedding. People drink champagne at weddings.

I totally get where you’re trying to come from but that pic ain’t it. At least understand the context first otherwise people won’t take you seriously.

They were taking pictures of the protest and laughing. I think what was happening was pretty self apparent.

the original source was made by UFO hunters

It appears they were partying before the protest even started

As for taking pictures and recording, it's not every day you see a protest so it makes sense to record it (the person who made the original source also recorded it)

There wasn't much laughing - at most there was the odd smile. There was one bold guy who was laughing but the vast majority were just using the balcony like a normal person would

Ever since I saw Al Jazeera (funded by the Qatari government) get a low bias score, I stopped trusting fact checkers

You’re being indoctrinated. It’s literally a picture taken out of context used to get people like you charged up.
