Is there any indication whatsoever that Facebook is willing to enter into negotiations with the government over this? If there is, I missed it.

Facebook is a corporation. Corporations operate for profit.

If negotiating would lead to continued profit they will negotiate.

I didn’t realise this was c/explainlikeimfive but here we are.
