Israel has never needed an excuse to maim people and destroy their homes

Okay but the problem is that maiming people and destroying their homes is wrong, and that Israel has a disproportionate amount of power in order to do so on a far larger scale.

go home

To where? What about the ones who are born in Israel and grew up there? What is it that you actually expect to happen to Israeli civilians, and why do you believe that historical injustice is an excuse to inflict more harm?

its not historical injustice, it is current injustice. the IDF has been consistently murdering Palestinians for years, to this day.

send them back to fucking europe obviously, or do you think continuing a genocide because muh history is ok or something? europe can afford to build them housing lmao, they created this problem in the first place.

The people of Palestine are seemingly stronger willed than you.

Our opinions on that don't matter.

You see the exact same arguments that you're making when it comes to landback movements. Where do all the settler colonists go? In states like the US or Canada they've just been far more deeply entrenched with hundreds of years of oppression. You have people crying about if we do landback that the native populations will genocide all settler colonists. We're watching the equivalent of the indigenous uprisings in the the Americas happen across the globe in real time as the Israel settler-colonial state is still in the genocide portion of their settler-colonialism. The US doesn't need to have dirty genocides anymore since it's already been done, they get the cleaner genocide of keeping native populations poor and desperate. Would you say that the indigenous peoples of the Americas shouldn't've fought back when they were being destroyed? That killing civilians is a bad thing when those civilians were actively destroying them by not only stealing their homes but by also supporting the absolute devastation of an entire nation while dehumanizing them all?

Just because the genocidal state of Israel can do far worse back should mean that they just lie down and get crushed to death? They have every right to stand up and defend themselves from a regime that has and will continue to destroy them. The ones born there could take up arms and join the Palestinians to fight for their freedom and live in a unified state. Jewish people lived in Palestine before, they can still. The issue is that with a settler colonial state enacting genocide there's only one option for the oppressed, and it's to violently resist because all other avenues have no effect on stopping them.

The settlers need to be arrested and put to labor if they chose to go there and contribute to it and for the ones that are children or couldn’t leave due to economic reasons should be deported to Europe

Newcomm and Newsmega Rules:

The Hexbear Code of Conduct and Terms of Service apply here.

  1. Link titles: Please use informative link titles. Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.

  2. Content warnings: Posts on the newscomm and top-level replies on the newsmega should use content warnings appropriately. Please be thoughtful about wording and triggers when describing awful things in post titles.

  3. Fake news: No fake news posts ever, including April 1st. Deliberate fake news posting is a bannable offense. If you mistakenly post fake news the mod team may ask you to delete/modify the post or we may delete it ourselves.

  4. Link sources: All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include the Xcancel.com (or another Nitter instance) or at least strip out identifier information from the twitter link. There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source.

  5. Archive sites: We highly encourage use of non-paywalled archive sites (i.e. archive.is, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org) so that links are widely accessible to the community and so that reactionary sources don’t derive data/ad revenue from Hexbear users. If you see a link without an archive link, please archive it yourself and add it to the thread, ask the OP to fix it, or report to mods. Including text of articles in threads is welcome.

  6. Low effort material: Avoid memes/jokes/shitposts in newscomm posts and top-level replies to the newsmega. This kind of content is OK in post replies and in newsmega sub-threads. We encourage the community to balance their contribution of low effort material with effort posts, links to real news/analysis, and meaningful engagement with material posted in the community.

  7. American politics: Discussion and effort posts on the (potential) material impacts of American electoral politics is welcome, but the never-ending circus of American Politics© Brought to You by Mountain Dew™ is not welcome. This refers to polling, pundit reactions, electoral horse races, rumors of who might run, etc.

  8. Electoralism: Please try to avoid struggle sessions about the value of voting/taking part in the electoral system in the West. c/electoralism is right over there.

  9. AI Slop: Don't post AI generated content. Posts about AI race/chip wars/data centers are fine.
