It just looks like a perfect gaming handheld to me and shows again why x86 handhelds won't compare. It's affordable, small, doesn't get too hot or have loud fans, and has a superb battery. ~25 hours on low-end emulation is a dream.

I'd still wait until they're available and not pre-order, but it does look tempting..

I'm not against it but what games are available on android? Everything I want to play is on Steam.

Emulators, mostly. There's some PC ports for android that play well like dead cells and stardew valley, too. The people that made Skyline (the Switch emulator) are also making an app to run Windows games, but that's still going to release next year.

Bloons, Papers Please, Shattered Pixel Dungeon. But yeah not great compared to Steam.

Emulators and streaming are the two big ones.

x86 handhelds also don't get hot or have their fans running if you play games that can be played on that thing (emulators, small indies).

It's only when you play bigger games, that don't exist on Android anyway that it runs hotter.

Running more demanding emulators like PS2 and Switch would send an x86 handheld into being a jet engine though.

Not on my Steam Deck.
