Realistically Taiwan is far more closely linked to China culturally and economically than the west, as a matter of fact they're extremely dependent on trading with the mainland.
wait for a year when the US department will try to bake shit on how taiwan is actually a synthesis of the best of Asia and the West.
As a matter of fact, there is a taiwanese talk show had a dude talking about how the democratization of Taiwan showing that Taiwan is superior contrary to the barbaric rule of law in the mainland (mainly referring to Hu jintao and covid)
