if we put these people to a vegan diet and everyone else cut out their meat by a good 50% we can probably fix a lot of issues from ecology to diet, then we can move on to pressing matters
Would production follow consumption patterns? The meat industry is so highly subsidized as it is, I can see the government pumping even more money into it for purely ideological reasons
we would gradually scale down the meat industry yes
