im so fucking pissed i loved her restaurant >:( 
family operated. she would give me extra helpings all the time and demanded i eat more while giving me free shit and we talked about china and stuff. she said she had no issues with payments. AND THEY REPLACED HER WITH NOTHING. its just fucking empty now! has been for a while!
FUCK LANDLORDS. they dont even care about profit, only misery! they take anything good and innocent out of this world and turn it all into empty sadness! one of the best fucking restaurants ive ever eaten at too, and it was popular, even! she put so much love into each dish, legitimately a master in her craft
Often there are limits to how much a landlord can raise the rent. And there are software programs and consultants and landlord groups egging each other on to raise prices.
So they kick out the tenant thinking they can triple the rent, but since they have no actual knowledge of the market like a large scale real estate management company they outprice anyone who'd actually rent out.
Either that or it's tax evasion.
