I'm really interested to know how the destructible environment will work. I guess it will be turned off for landing zones and presumably the destruction will reset after a while?

So much good stuff in this presentation though. I'm also really interested to see destruction working on some of the bigger ships and interacting with other systems like the room system.

Also, holy crap planets are looking so amazing with the new clouds, lighting and water. The views on Pyro 3 in some of the other demos were just...wow.

It brings up the question again of them licensing the engine once they are done. They've done so much work on it it seems like it'd be a waste not to really. I know people would probably fork out a fair bit of money to see some of their favourite sci fi IPs in a StarEngine game.

I bet reputation missions will exist to repair destroyed areas. It's the only thing that makes sense if everything is meant to be persistent...
