I'd go as far as to say "If Gene Roddenberry wasn't such a horny bastard, we'd all be talking about Logan's Run or something.
Completely agree. Imagine if he got his way when designing the Ferengi. Whenever they're on screen, huge bulge takes up most of the screen.
The ears would grow and get flaccid.
