Resources For Understanding The War
Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

They have flooded the tunnels before, I remember even with chemical weapons. Sisi is American bootlicking coward don't expect too much from him. He will rather use his army to shoot Palestinian refugees than attack Israel army. He is just pandering to Egyptians when saying pro Palestine and anti Israel stuff. He only opposed Israel when they wanted Egypt to accept refugees on grounds that Israel will claim there are hamas inside refugees and invade egypt. Which is very likely to happen since Israel gave no guarantee about such situation will not happen. He knows Israel will turn to Egypt after gaza but he is a fucking coward. He somewhat fears public anger for siding with Israel and fears his military might do a coup he also did. If there are tunnels in Egypt that is because he doesn't know where
Sisi sure, but the Egyptian military as a whole? I'm not so sure, they let even 500,000 Palestinians in and Egypt implodes, refugees start rushing the border and the military opens fire Egypt still implodes, safest option is to keep letting supplies in but in a way that doesn't piss off the American and Israeli paymasters, and seems to me that requires the tunnels, since those trucks aren't going anywhere
Maybe Sisi knows about it, maybe only a faction of military is thinking clearly on this issue, but Sisi's warning to "his" military yesterday got me thinking about what's really happening on the ground and how his regime can possibly survive this
