right now the emoji picker only has text emojis, which is nice, but it'd be great if it had graphical ones too, like on mastodon/misskey.

also my instance has custom emoji too and id love to be able to use them in boost too (it's hard to remember the code since it's a long image tag url).

i don't know if it's even possible to but if it is it'd be nice to have :)

On Android many keyboards have an inbuilt emoji button. E.g. on a Pixel with gboard it's left to the space key.

On Windows you can use [Windows key] + [.] to open the system's generic emoji menu.

Not sure about adding custom emojis though.

yeah, it was mostly the ones in the star category for the custom ones i was looking for (like the blobcats, etc)

according to this, they should have added a rest endpoint at /custom_emoji when they added the feature: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/2419. i'm not sure if that includes a get endpoint but though mastodon does so i'm not sure if it's similar.
