I've played the physical and digital versions a couple times and I couldn't stand the game either way. It is pure random madness that can take hours to end because of it. I can only assume it appeals to people who either like highly random games or just LOVE rolling dice.
Talisman actually joined my extremely short list of banned games.
Does the randomness come from the cards? Could you somehow pull cards from a certain pool to take away some extra randomness?
Also - the game length can be manipulated. Having a maximum turns or giving extra stats/items in the beginning etc. Creativism and experimentation can make the game more fun ๐
