The worst thing about cadence sensors is that over time the little magnet on the spoke can come loose and slide away from its intended spot at which point you get no more power until it’s realigned

In my experience the magnet is tightened with a screwdriver which only takes seconds. I have a couple thousand kms on my ebike without it coming loose either.

Not to say cadence sensors are better/worse than torque sensors, but the magnet hasn't been a problem for me.
