Yes they mean tux
I still say Xenia would have been the cooler mascot. Less easy to make into a marketable plushie though.
I like that we are moving to a place where they both exist. It's like Tux is the logo and Xenia is the mascot. Or Tux the representation of the software and Xenia the representation of the users.
Xenia had character, basically version of tux I've seen is just generic lifeless penguin.
