My main question is if the POV character is a beach resort tourist drinking themselves into a stupor on sugary, premixed cocktails served in a hollowed-out pineapple, a backpacker trying to get rid of their mushroom stash before crossing the border, some digital nomad / travel blogger dipshit extorting hotel staff with their follower count or a British sexpat who could easily be mistaken for the contents of the left boat.
