What if you just don't offer any other food. Would they rather give in or legit starve?
Cats can develop serious problems if they don't eat for 2-3 days. Mine will refuse to eat a food she doesn't like for 24+ hours easily. We never let it go that long and have to give in to the wills of our feline overlords.
