Every point within totality is going to be booked, heavy with traffic, and swamped. You need to be there hours early and plan to stay hours later. If you can't day trip it, plan now
That's a fascinating perspective, I hope to remember to check after the next one. I don't think I've ever checked traffic that far out. It's interesting to see NY is all yellow - turns out there's a snow storm passing through. I bet that yellow lump is a rolling feature.
