Have you played with caca in vlc? I wouldn't know how to get into lynx but it seems it's most of the way there.
% vlc --vout caca video.oggI was kind of joking, but the serious part came from the time I worked at an office with strict browsing rules, so I had to resort to lynx to avoid suspicion. I know an ASCII art video wouldn't look innocent anyway, but I was just simply thinking if it's possible at all particularly in lynx.
Honestly, I just wanted to post that the caca module exists. I hope someone has fun with it.
I might still try it, it sounds fun! I love your name BTW.
