It will travel 3516 km over 56 days across all 12 divisions of Sarawak (source). Last paragraph of article probably left out a digit for km travelled so far.

For the fun of it, I tried a Peninsular route on Google Maps by first going thru all state capitals (Kangar to Kota Bharu, south then north) and then zig-zag down south to cover notable towns (Bukit Kayu Hitam, Sitiawan, Gua Musang, Bentong, Kuala Selangor, Port Dickson, Muadzam Shah, Muar, Mersing, Pengerang). Only then I met the 3500km threshold.

3 days from Lawas to Kuching is possible but knowing the road condition it won't be fun. That aside, how are Sarawakians feeling about 60 years of independence?

The route we took was fine. Probably the most unusual part for me was having the VIP escort the entire way. That said, there were long stretches of roads where we won't see any civilisation for hours. I've gone to Ulu Pelagus via timber roads and THAT was a ride.

Macam biasa jer. Just stay away from the city centre unless you want to be part of the ~~jam~~ festivities. 😏
