If someone shows you multiple pictures of a protest shot upward from a low angle it's because they people they were able to get in the frame are the only people there.
If you have a real protest you go find a building or a drone or a helicopter to take pictures of to convey the scale.

e: also I checked a bunch of Dutch language media but wasn't really able to find numbers for either protest
