MODERATORS
It's Anita Sarkeesian, a video game journalist who became one of the centerpieces of Gamergate for saying such radical things as "sexism in video games exists and is bad".
Sarkeesian has literally 0 influence on anything, never did, but gamers have hated her with all their might for over a decade now. Her youtube podcast still gets dislike-bombed over 10 years after Gamergate.
damn I totally forgot about gamergate. hope I forget it again soon.
blessed are the people with empty heads
I just happened to be absent when gamergate happened and never bothered to look it up. It sort of feels like I skipped a cut scene accidentally cause my ass was on 4chan at the time.
I just lost the Game(rgate).
Same ๐๐๐
Literally the only thing I'm aware of her criticism changing is making Emily playable in Dishonored 2.
NOO!!!!
I'd never heard of this person before or Gamergate, but sounds about right for gamers.
Don't look into this any more. Stay pleasantly unaware and happier
As ordered.
Her critiques weren't even anything over the top. It was very general lib feminism like "the fridged woman trope isn't nice" and "maybe not all female characters should be sex-objects with boob armor?"
Was she a journalist? I thought she was just a critic?
