I was on a trip with a friend for his first flight. He jolted at some standard turbulence. I was a stupid 21yo kid and found it amusing. I regret chortling at that moment.

If you think about it, it's pretty stunning that the tiny object that you see in the sky has >100 people within, just hurtling through the air. I like to stop and appreciate how incredible that is. Seriously, we're pretty sophisticated. Except for all the ways in which we aren't.
