I haven't been keeping up, what policies did he actually implement to cause this?
It's surprising to see an economy fall over that fast, even with the catastrophic incompetence I expect from libertarians. I don't know if I could crash an economy that fast without putting in some serious effort.

Few last paragraphs. Basically devaluation of Peso caused colossal price up of necessities on top of already galloping inflation, which in case of people already living hand to mouth kicked them into poverty literally immediately.
