Idk man, I'm not sure how casually you can burn a cow corpse. Points for creativity though, especially because it worked! But it seems pretty niche
Nowadays that won't fly, considering that an unexpected death of a farm animal requires veterinary investigation to ensure there's no disease at work. Back in the days, I doubt anyone cares a whole lot. Unless you buy a cow simply for the sake of burning it, that would raise a few eyebrows I guess.
Fake bbq, just don't invite anyone.
Or bbq only the person (of course in parts) and invite your friends
