Reading things like this makes it make sense as to why the government is putting big efforts into reducing legal gun ownership (and the type of guns targeted, ex. 50 cal rifles) instead of going after criminals and makes sense of things like the Online Harms Bill... The elites are trying to prevent a repeat of 1789 France or 1917 Russia.

The vast majority of federal and provincial politicians, the leaders of companies like SNC, Irving, Loblaws, Bell, Rogers, Telus, Metro, Sobeys. None-exhaustive list of course.

I don’t disagree. I feel the Ntl post is positioning this according to their own narrative and agenda (PostMedia owners are ALSO elites as per that definition).

Their agenda being “Canada has it so bad right now, your only solution is to elect the other guy”

Unsaid:

  • Rather than criticize the capitalist greed that got us here.
  • We wouldn’t you to actually elect politicians who would change the status quo because that would be bad for us, a large corporation who benefits from existing corporate tax policies.
  • And if you elect the same guy the RCMP is already predicting social unrest so we’re going to feed you photos of the Clownvoy to rewrite history to make it seem justified, as opposed to what it actually was - a multi-week frat party for needle-phobics.

I don’t really like the subtle rhetoric of this article.

Do you not know the difference between an example and a definition?
