Unfortunately eating buds will not get you high. The THCa present in buds doesn't do it. The THCa has to be activated by heat into THC for you to feel anything.
So that's why it's classically baked into brownies!
Exactly. The process of cooking does convert it. Vaporizing as well. Vaporizing gets the THCa hot enough to convert into THC then hot enough to vaporize it. You can actually use the leftovers from vaping flower to make edibles, or even just eat it with something fatty if you don't have too weak a stomach.
