actually you could ABSOLUTELY make that read, given his relationship to masculinity (viewing it very consistently as like, punishment and a prison) and his body and trying to escape his old identity and even his name. though you can't read him as a lesbian, he very clearly likes dudes. bisexual trans woman hdb
