If you're starting a new game, what class and build are you picking?
You get to keep any experience and unlocked abilities of your choice.
I recently finished the game suddenly and found a (secret?) continue possibility.
You keep everything and all permanent debuffs and do not get any bonuses, though.
That's a bug, thanks for reporting. Should be fixed with the next update!
