You don't, but you can subscribe to the comms on that instance from your instance here.
If they're already federated with monyet.cc, in the search bar search !(community)@(instance). Unless it's kbin, then it's @name@instance.
If not (or just in general), get the full http url and paste in your home instance search bar and then subscribe
i find it much easier to paste the lemmy link like
[!memes@lemmy.ml](/c/memes@lemmy.ml)into a random textbox, click preview and click the generated link. example !memes@lemmy.mlNo problem if monyet.cc is not federated to them yet. Usually if it is not federated yet refresh the page after a couple of minutes and then you can subscribe.
