Maybe I'll finally understand the plot. I've watched so many videos (and played the games of course) and feel like I'm only grasping parts of it.
Of the original Dark Souls? Vaati’s series is very illuminating but the story itself is mostly told through the item descriptions and NPC interactions.
This summary on the wiki covers the overarching story!
Vaati pretty much has a career because of Miyazaki's storytelling style. He's excellent.
Vaati is great and I like Hawkshaw as well.
That's because it's generic low fantasy that hides how poor the story is behind vagueness.
