Apparently he had his gun drawn so he could use the attached flashlight. I'm not a gun person but doesn't that mean the safety wasn't engaged? Why would you disengage the safety if you're just using the flashlight? Anyway that wall was a terrorist.

Glocks (which most cops use) don't have safeties. All you have to do is pull the trigger.

Well that seems... not ideal.

From their point of view it's extraordinarily ideal.

It is ideal because a loaded weapon should fire every time the trigger is pulled, without fail.

Glocks have multiple different safety mechanisms to ensure the gun will not fire unless the trigger is pulled.

Why would you aim the weapon at something, pull the trigger, and ever expect it to not fire?

What a bozo. Does he check up on his kids at night with his Glock brand flashlight? 1000 lumens, 124 grains. Lol

That's fucking ridiculous. It shows that cops don't lack training, they get the wrong training.

They all have flashlights in their belts, and I'm actually surprised they have gun lights at all. That said, there's no reason to use the gun light instead of the flashlight unless you anticipate and intend on firing. And beyond that, guns don't fire unless the trigger is pulled, so not only was he drawn and pointed for no reason, he had poor trigger discipline.

Just stupid pig shit, per usual.
