Why is zoom so insane when you double tap on images?
(lemmy.world)
Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.
Jerboa is made by Lemmy's developers, and is free, open-source software, meaning no advertising, monetizing, or venture capital, ever. Your donations directly support full-time development of the project.

Isn't pinch to zoom the norm? I've never double-tapped an image to zoom.
Yes pinch to zoom is the norm but hold one finger and move it to zoom isn't. Though having double tap to zoom alongside pinch is quite common in Chinese Android ROMs afaik
Ah, I see. I just tried double-tapping an image, and it does zoom in considerably, though that's a vast improvement over when zooming was so restricted in Jerboa that I couldn't zoom enough to read the text in screenshots and other images. (I've always pinched though, so I guess I have more control over the zoom level.)
