the US executive is genuinely monarchist at this point, the emperor is running around with no clothes and none of his sycophantic courtiers dare break the illusion

it honestly makes more sense that the DNC and RNC believe in divine rights to rule with regards to primaries and religious thinking in the general

It is not just Biden, not just the emperor but the entire court, its literally the entire Dem establishment, from Pelosi to Blinken and Hillary they all believe it. There is no secret opposition to Biden just hiding in the corner. At most you can point to the voters themselves but then its a matter of blue MAGA vs the uncommitted voters campaign for example.
