Okay, I'll tell Biden to put away his taser and stop saying that the Palestinian protesters don't have a point and should be brutally attacked by local police.
Maybe try telling him criticism of Isreal isn't antisemitic, he seems a little confused about it
Yeah, I remember when he said "Those Palestinian protesters don't have any valid concerns, they're just a bunch of antisemites."
"I condemn the antisemitic protests,” is literally a direct quote lmao.
Ah, I knew that lazy soundbite would come up. You get that from a script, or are you just good at parroting?
Lmao is that context supposed to change the meaning of the quote somehow? How?
I love how this OP keeps posting quotes that just make Biden look like more and more of an asshole
Yes? That Biden is condemning, specifically, protests that are antisemitic, as that is specifically how the question is phrased, not all campus protests.
None of the protests are anti-Semitic 🙄 that's the lie that pro-Israel folks and Biden are spreading.
There have definitely been antisemitic incidents, and pretending otherwise is tribalist hagiography.
If Biden said "No, I am not going to condemn antisemitic protests" to a fucking journo, what the fuck do you think the result would be? "I condemn antisemitic protests and I condemn those who don't understand the Palestinian plight" is about as reasonable an off-the-cuff answer as he could be expected to give.
He should have said "What antisemitic protests? The protests are overwhelmingly peaceful and many Jews have been participating. I won't listen to you mischaracterize an entire movement."
But he basically spread the lie that antisemitic protests are a problem, when you know it's not. Antisemitic "incidents", as you say, occur regularly in our country regardless of the protests.
So the "shining beacon of leftism" in America, Mr.Sanders, has a podcast with a host who is a professor and even she has admitted THERE ARE ANTISEMITIC STUDENTS that are getting out of hand at her school as well as others.
That said this ISN'T "all Isreal criticism is antisemitism." It's "antisemities are using this time to come out against Isreal along side the protestors." So you can't just bury your head in the sand and pretend they don't exist especially if you're the president and you're being asked about it.
Like I said, antisemitism has been happening regardless of the protests and to tie them together is irresponsible reporting. It's very easy to condemn antisemitism at the same time as saying that the protests are not antisemitic.
