Hopefully they at least separate the long-form from short-form, like how YouTube isolates Shorts to their own area (sorta kinda)
YouTube is unfortunately pushing shorts more in search and in recommendations. They’re really good for retention. They’ve also started adding banners to the bottom of a video following an ad. So they’re just gonna keep pushing them more.
All the more reason to not use youtube directly and always go through frontends like piped, invidious, etc.
Youtube revanced for android has an option to remove shorts from all feeds (you can still access them directly from the channel page).
