RULES
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
- Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
- Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
- Keep it clean and SFW
- No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

Can go away, but typically lasts a few years.
Sort of wish pet tick prevention medicines were available... like... just give me the dog heartworm tablets
Isn't that literally ivermectin? As in the horse dewormer that nutcases were taking during COVID because Trump told them to?
No, ivermectin is given in doses to treat infections.
Something like Frontline is given as a preventative and lasts for months. That lasts for months is why I would care for it to be approved for human use as ticks become a growing concern.
Though I did mistakenly say heartworm - not all tick preventatives work as a heartworm treatment*
yeah as someone on a keto diet and already allergic to soy and coconut... i need this LMAO i'm gonna die if i lose dairy and meat 😭
