Grand Necropolis

If anyone is worried about the trailer, don't. This is what it actually looks like in game. The photos are of:

Minrathous, capital of tevinter

Grand necropolis, Nevarra City

Minrathous Tavern

Grand necropolis, Nevarra City

Taash, Dragon Hunter and Lord of Fortune (Rivainian treasure hunters) - Rook, Protagonist - Neve, Detective and Shadow Dragon (Tevinter anti-slavery organization)

So its "in engine footage." Meaning it was taken with something like the photo mode that some games have. https://x.com/dragonage/status/1799952008893616558/photo/1

edit: plus look closely at the foliage in the first photo. Its clearly 3d.

That’s what I expected. In engine is a typical trick to build hype while avoiding the culpability of the already limited in scope advertising laws. It won’t represent in-game at all, even at the ripe end of machines.

Well they are releasing gameplay footage tuesday morning. So the extra hype they generate from doctored screenshots will be pretty minimal.

But, the important part of those screenshots for me were the art direction. People online are upset over the tone and cartoony aesthetic. These screenshots show that there are going to be plenty of darker, moodier set pieces.

The trailer is also "in engine footage" and doesn't look like this.
