Almost feel like I want a side by side comparison of Muad'Dib sitting there vs Leto II when he's full on sandworm.
Yeah I thought it was a whole new mini desert after the rest of the palace became green to allow him to live as a worm with a bazillion paranoid defenses since you know he could see the future and shit
Honestly, don't remember. I had assumed the same citadel, but it's been a LONG time since I've read the books.
I hope they continue the movies with Children and God Emperor. Beyond that may be too much for regular audiences, but I really really want to see an on screen adaptation of Leto II
disagree on "they can't do Children without doing God Emperor" -- the Syfy Children of Dune miniseries was great.
I'm watching it now. It's sooo... campy?
It was made by a TV network in the early 2000's...
And so was Battlestar Galactica
I am hoping Denis Villeneuve takes a break from Dune for 4-6 years and allows the actors to age before filming Children of Dune. I have really enjoyed Zendaya and Wonka so far, but they look very young and having a story that is supposed to take place over the course of 17 years by the time of Children would be pushing believability. You could hand wave a bit of it to the spices effect on longevity, but they need to still noticeably look older than the first films.
It’s still easier to age than to de-age.
But I also agree as well.
Yes, but part of it is wanting Villeneuve to finish the original trilogy. He has said he wants to do Messiah as the end of his trilogy, but I am hoping beyond just allowing the actors to age that a filming gap would make Children more appealing than just cranking out 4 monolithic Dune films back to back. Allow him some breathing room to do something else.
